Over 3,000 doctors went on strike on May 31 over several demands. Their demands included an increase in stipend by 6% per year among others. Speaking on this state Health Minister Vishvas Kailash Sarang said that the government will give 17% hike in stipend to doctors. "Junior doctors have returned to work now. We'll give 17% hike in stipend to doctors," said Health Minister Sarang.
