How To Play 18 And Life By Skid Row - Guitar Lesson - Scotti Hill - Dave The Snake Sabo

In this video I demonstrate how to play the song 18 And Life by Skid Row. I cover all the parts including the Intro, Verse, Chorus and Bridge. I review the guitar solo in detail as well as the outro solo. This is a great song to learn because it demonstrates how to use the E Major/C# minor pentatonic scales as well as major/minor scales and how they relate due to be relatives with each other. The guitar solo is very melodic and employed some cool legato runs, pinch harmonics and bends. Scott Hill played the solo in this song along side Dave The Sake Sabo holding down the rhythms. Rachel Bolan has some fine bass grooves and holds the tune down while Sebastian Bach sings only the way he can. This was huge in the late 80's and catapulted Skid Row into the stratosphere, and to this day is regarded as one of the best songs from it's era. We will probably never see Skid Row reunite with Sebastian Bach, but we always have the recordings to remind us of how amazing and magical those tracks were. I hope you enjoy the video.
