Here are some of the key things that the course covers: Regulations and procedures: The course covers the relevant regulations and procedures for using a VHF radio, including licensing requirements, call signs, and distress procedures. Radio operation: The course teaches the fundamentals of radio operation, including how to use the different channels, how to make a call, how to respond to a call, and how to use DSC (digital selective calling). Emergency procedures: The course covers the emergency procedures for using a VHF radio, including how to send a distress call, how to use the emergency frequency, and how to respond to a distress call.
