Fisherman's Horizon - Final Fantasy VIII (Piano Collections)

Hey everybody! First of all, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for picking up my newest Final Fantasy cello/piano album with Israfelcello--the response has been overwhelming with so many of wonderful and kind words from you all picking it up on Spotify and iTunes and such and we're so, so thrilled you like the album just as much as we did making it!!! Thank you so much again!!!! So here's a Piano Collections arrangement I always liked but never got around to actually doing until now. I have to say I found FF8 far more memorable and likable than I'm willing to admit to most people lmaooo. I absolutely hated all the characters and the story was merely okay, but let me tell you, I LOVED the gameplay. Once you got the hang of the unorthodox Junctioning system, progression in the game had so many interesting possibilities, especially once you got Diablo early on and abused that skill to refine items into high level spells, the game was in the bag as early as level 20, maybe even earlier. And i mean, once you cast Aura on everybody in the late game and ultimate weapons and the Lion Heart finishing move was randomly triggered on Squall, that was just the best feeling ever. Anyways, about the arrangement. Fisherman's Horizon was a peaceful town with a super annoying mayor, and I was kinda peeved when you were putting together that concert with the instruments and the folk-style song was the one that got you the best outcome in the conversation with Rinoa when the one I personally liked the best was the perfectly legitimate 80s rock ballad of Eyes on Me with the saxophone and that one got her all mad at you. LMAO! I digress once again, I adore this arrangement because of all the lovely interesting jazz harmonies, which I took my time with and really enjoyed. I love also the inner voices when the melody recaps, and there's a super interesting cadence around 3:14 buried in all the 2 against 3 stuff that is easy to miss, unless you're extremely into Schenkerian analyses like I am lmao so I tried to emphasize it, because it is really cool. And of course, the ending is my favorite. I love the subtlety, it's very fitting for this area in the game.
