The strongest enemy in Final Fantasy V, guarding its strongest weapon. Shinryu is a lot like Omega in that it is a test of your planning skills and job mastery. Unlike Omega however, Shinryu is not a luck-based counter fiesta. Instead you are presented with a brutal opening salvo that will kill your entire team unless you wear the appropriate gear, followed by some of the most powerful abilities and spells in the game. It is meant to be a game of rocket tag, with both sides unleashing ludicrous and powerful spells and attacks one after another with you just managing to survive. However, if you've prepared properly and have mastered the right jobs, Shinryu is just like any other enemy in Final Fantasy V. He just hits a whole lot harder.
