If that doesn’t work, go to the Accessibility Settings and make sure Mono Audio is off, Phone Noise Cancellation is off, and the Left-Right balance isn’t off-center. Does the speaker only sound muffled when you’re listening to music? In that case, check the Music EQ settings in the Settings app. Make sure EQ is off.
