Wondering how to build a community WITHOUT technical experience? Community building is a great tool for small businesses and large organizations alike, but there are some things to keep in mind while you build a community in a niche you aren't an expert in yourself. In this video, I’ll be discussing how: Technical experience is not required - your focus should be on getting the insight from the minds of community members into the community. The Community Participation Framework can help guide you - it covers how you choose your audiences, onboarding, and then helping them through the Casual, Regular, and Core phases. You don't need to set up your infrastructure anymore, you can use existing hosted services. Start simple with infrastructure - start with the website and communication platform and build from there as you need to. Authentication can be the main tricky element for technical platforms, but this is not critical for most communities. There is lots of content for learning these technical skills without fearing technology. .. and much more!
