We will visit some of them on this episode. We begin by having lunch at the most instagrammable cafe of Kuala Lumpur. Merchant's Lane is hidden on the upper floor of an old chinese shophouse at Chinatown. This cafe is divided into 3 different sections with its own unique ambiance. They serves fusion cuisine with a twist that will surely satisfy your palate needs. We then explore the famous Petaling Street or better known as the Chinatown of Kuala Lumpur, stopping by at the "Air Mata Kucing" stall to beat the heat with a cold dessert drink. The Lost in Chinatown exhibit is an informative gallery to learn about the history of chinatown with plenty of photo oppurtunities. We then make our way to "Kwai Chai Hong", a narrow alley way with wall murals as the main attraction. For dinner, be sure to head to Soong Kee's Beef Noodle's for a delicious meal. This restaurant is well known among locals only and truely is a hidden gem. They serves egg noodles with soup or soy sauce together with a bowl of hot beef soup that may get you asking for more. The night is still young as we start our speakeasy bar hopping experience. Chinatown is an ideal place to do this as there are many bars strategically hidden here. From cocktails to beers and liquors, you will never know what you will find walking into places and things you never thought possible. We end the night having supper at Seng Kee before heading back to the hotel. A restaurant specifically caters for party goes after a night of fun and excitement. They are famous for claypot rice noodle that will fill your stomach and warm your body for a good night sleep. Arenaa Star Luxury is a 3* rating hotel located conveniently within walking distance from many attractions at Kuala Lumpur. Train stations are also a stone throw away that will get you to all parts of the city. A quiet restaurant with a good breakfast/brunch menu with coffee and dessert. We then head next door to LOKL Coffee Co for a rejuvenating mandatory cup of coffee to start the day. An awesome coffee joint with nice cozy interior decor. To end this episode, we take a look at one of Kuala Lumpur's historical site, St John's Institution. A colonial school that is more than a century old, It is also my alma mater. We explore the school grounds while discuss the historical significant of this nostalgic building.
