While not technically full HD, this is the best quality they are available in at the moment, since the series has not been released to Blu-Ray or digital. I also made the video 16:9 so it looks better when being watched on a computer/laptop/TV/other widescreen device. I’ve had the individual logoless episodes uploaded for a while, but am just now getting to putting them into one video. This is the perfect video for binging the whole series in one sitting, so grab some friends, grab some chicken legs, (making sure NOT to let Kedamono see) and enjoy the show! For those of you who have no prior information about this show and are just stumbling upon this video for the first time, I’ll give you some background information. If you already know about the series, don’t bother reading this. Popee The Performer (Known as ポピーザぱフォーマー in Japan) is a series of 3DCG shorts that were produced for and aired on the Kids Station satellite station in Japan from 2001-2003. The original pilot for the series was pitched in 1999, and it was accepted for 39 episodes and a New Years Special. During its initial airing, Popee gained a large Japanese fanbase of both kids and adults, which has now expanded worldwide in recent years thanks to reviews by several English, Spanish, and even Russian YouTubers. The plot of the series revolves around the everyday life of Popee, an aspiring performer at the Wolf Zircus, and his wolf friend/assistant Kedamono. Popee strives to be the best at what he does, but his efforts usually end up failing miserably. He’ll do just about anything to achieve his goals, even if it means hurting or killing those in his way. Slapstick mayhem ensues, usually involving one or all of the characters dying horribly. Popee and Kedamono are also joined by Papi, the flamboyant circus ringleader and Popee’s father, as well as several other supporting characters. Unfortunately, they have more to worry about than Popee’s bomb filled rampages, including alien abductions, nightmares, and what is really underneath Kedamono’s masks. Just a quick trigger warning, there is a heavy amount of dark comedy and some violence so if you don’t like those things, this is your warning. But if you like weird and occasionally thought-provoking things, you should watch this show.
