After the landslip in New Mills in May 2024 railway traffic on the hope valley line decreased with Northern 150's, 156's and 195's being the only rail activity between Manchester and Marple on both lines into Romiley for sometime however I received an email on Sunday (22nd September 2024) from my dear friend and Romiley Correspondent Paul and since that first email we've had a flow of freight content come in to celebrate the return of traffic to our line I've put together Paul's videos for you to enjoy, I would like to thank Paul for his hard work after being on hiatus and warmly welcome him back to the track! I would also like to thank everyone who worked on the line at New Mills though it's taken a while their hard-work and dedication has ensured the line is now back up to standard.
