(17 Dec 1994) Bosnian Serbs allowed U.N. peacekeeping troops to reopen Sarajevo airport on Saturday, but Serb sniper fire disputed any signs of peace in the Bosnian capital. A woman walking with her young son in the city centre was shot and killed by a sniper. The Bosnian Serb army allowed the United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR) to make a first test flight to Sarajevo after earlier refusing it clearance.
