Today, we explore Seoul's Seongbuk-dong, a neighborhood north of the old city wall. This neighborhood has many different appearances. The northern hills are dotted with mansions and ambassadorial residences. Glued against the old city wall is one of Seoul's remaining Moon Villages ('shanty towns') called Bukjeong Village. In between are many different types of Hanoks, each with its own story, shape, and color. Then there are also several temples and must-see museums. The contrast is strong, but the harmony is stronger.
