Video from my trip on the UK Railtours 'Westbury Wizzo' train on 6th July 2024, hauled by preserved Class 52 diesel-hydraulic locomotive D1015 'Western Champion'. The train ran from East Midlands Parkway, via Leicester, Kettering, Bedford, Bletchley, Wembley, Acton, Reading, Newbury and Westbury to the East Somerset Railway at Cranmore. The return trip took a different route as far as Acton via Westbury, Swindon, Didcot, Oxford, Bicester and Greenford (then a reverse of the outward route to East Midlands Parkway). At Cranmore we had a steam-hauled ride along the East Somerset Railway line. D1015 'Western Champion' information - http://www.westernchampion.co.uk/loco... The video was taken at Bedford, Westbury and on the East Somerset Railway at Cranmore, so is a mixture of diesel (D1015 and 66309) and steam activity. There is no 'from the railtour train' video (hanging around near open windows on the train etc. wasn't allowed).
