Update: Hard Mode here:    • [Trails in the Sky FC] 2nd Lieutenant...   This challenge was being tossed around in Neomatter's community discord (pretty much purely started by me lol) on the stupid things you can get away with doing. I originally pitched the idea of doing this fight with no accessories and 1 quartz on Nightmare, and after some 60+ tries, came to the conclusion that it wasn't possible. I then lowered the requirement to no accessories but NG+ quartz setup, and still had no success on Nightmare, but that's mostly because I stopped trying, I'm not entirely willing to call no accessory Nightmare impossible, it will just take a disgusting amount of good RNG, which I'm not down to grind for. I then asked a friend of mine to borrow his Normal difficulty save files, since I didn't have any for FC, and to my horror, discovered his quartz stockpile on this savefile is pretty puny, but I still wanted to try 1-Quartz fighting Lorence, and it turned out to be... really, really easy. So easy that I added the stipulation of no items and still won without issue. Some answers: Q: How many tries did this take? A: 7, this one started with a Kaempfer miss, too. Most of the previous runs was just figuring out which one quartz to give everyone and what each member's turn 1 move should be. Q: How many tries did this take on Nightmare? A: Between all the adjustments, 50 - 60 before I gave up, so, infinity. Q: Is 1-Quartz possible on Hard? A: Maybe? Send me a save file on Hard on the room right before this fight, if I get one I'll try it. Q: How OP is Kaempfer still? A: yes. Seriously they had to nerf this craft twice lol.
