My guitar solos were boring until I listened closely to Eric Clapton's solo on Cream's song, "Crossroads," then I learned how to do this on guitar: switch from major pentatonic to minor pentatonic at a specific harmonic change in the song, or the 12-bar blues form. In this guitar lesson you'll learn how to make this easy but very effective move in your own solos and improvisation when the chords change from the I chord to the IV chord. This method works great for blues, rock, country and many other guitar genres.
