Emerge Programme: empowering leaders for sustainable change

The Emerge Programme is a capacity-building programme that aims to help organisations boost fundraising and resource mobilisation skills, in the hope of improving their prospects of long-term financial sustainability. The programme is delivered by Resource Alliance, an organisation that connects and empowers people, organisations, and entities that are creating positive, lasting change in the world. Recently, the Emerge Programme held a workshop in Kenya, which brought together 39 participants from 20 Oak partners in Africa, with the aim of helping to strengthen the overall impact and sustainability of the organisations. During the workshop, Emerge Programme participants expressed their commitment to building a robust and sustainable framework for resource mobilisation, thus ensuring that their organisations can continue to make a significant impact in their communities. Oak Foundation's Capacity Strengthening and Effectiveness team advises partners, provides grants and connects partners with consultants for organisational strengthening. This support helps partners grow stronger to better attain their grant objectives, and achieve their missions and contribute to making the world a safer, fairer, and more sustainable place to live.
