Twin Falls Waterfall Hike - Olallie State Park | Washington

Olallie State Park is a 2,500- acre day-use park on the western slopes of the Cascade Mountains featuring dramatic waterfalls, cliff formations and old-growth trees over 10 feet in diameter. The park is a popular location for hiking, picnicking, fishing and rock climbing. The park’s popular hiking destinations include Twin Falls, Weeks Falls, Cedar Butte and Mount Washington. “Olallie” is the Chinook Jargon word for “berry.” The park is rich in huckleberries. Today we will be completing the Twin Falls Trail, which leads hikers on a scenic riverside stroll through old growth forest to a 230 ft waterfall. The trail is roughly 2.5 miles out & back with an estimated 616 ft of elevation gain. The hike starts off gradual with scenic views of the South Fork Snoqualmie River. I would spend at least 2 hours on this trail to take your time and enjoy the tranquility of nature. My father and I will be stopping at the Middle Falls Overlook which is near the wooden bridge.
