Archie Harradine (1898-1974) was a stalwart of the Players' and joined them from its very beginning in 1936 and worked with them and for them right up until his death in 1974. He spent many, many hours over that period in The British Library researching and digging out obscure and forgotten early Music Hall songs and, as well as performing, found and adapted some of the Victorian Pantomimes thet The Players' was so noted for. www.playerstheatrearchive.org.uk
