Hey Guys, The 2021 Mazda 6 Adds Torque, Features And A Special Edition The optional turbo engine now produces 320 lb-ft of torque, and the Carbon Edition pictured here looks crisp. The 2021 Mazda 6 sedan is getting a few updates to its engine and equipment list. It is available with a new Carbon Edition appearance package. The 2021 6 starts at $ 25,720 and goes on sale later this month. The 2021 Mazda 6 sedan receives many of the same updates that it has given to its crossover teammates. With a bit more torque for its optional turbocharged engine, the Mazda 6 also gets new connectivity features and a Carbon Edition model with appearance tweaks. The base 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine is unchanged, but the optional 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-four gets an additional 10 lb-ft of torque, for a total of 320. A six-speed automatic transmission gears remains the only gearbox, and there's no word on either the promised diesel engine or the all-wheel drive Mazda announced for the 6 some time ago. For what it's worth, Mazda still lists the diesel-powered 6 on its mainstream website as an upcoming vehicle, but we're not giving up just yet. While the 6 doesn't get the updated infotainment system found in some other Mazda models, it now has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard equipment. Apple CarPlay can be used wirelessly on higher trim levels including Grand Touring and Signature. The Carbon edition, which we previously detailed, comes in a special color combination of a polymetal gray exterior with a red interior. It also has a black trim and is only available with the optional turbo engine. It sits just below the best Signature model in the lineup and starts at $ 33,745. Prices for other models start slightly higher than before, at $ 25,720 for the base Sport. Turbo models start with the Grand Touring at $ 30,970, and all 2.5T cars now have a "Turbo" badge to set them apart.
