Let's get the disclaimer out of the way first. I am not affiliated with University of Alabama. I was just using that fabric in the quilt I made for Mr. SnuggleBugStitching. Check out my video on installing your walking foot. • Installing your Walking Foot Sorry about the shaking during parts of this video. I had the camera mounted on my sewing table to get a nice closeup for you. Unfortunately, the vibrations from the high speed sewing affected that extension table the camera was on. I am trying to post more useful videos but am still learning. I really appreciate your patience and hopefully the video is still useful. Here are the links to all parts of this series on making a rag quilt with my spin on it. Part 1 - Alligning the batting in your sandwich - • Making a Rag Quilt Part 1 A Tip f... Part 2 - Quilting - (Here you are!) Part 3 - Assembly and making the pretty Fray - • Making a Rag Quilt Part 3 Assembl... Fabric Requirements for the project I was making: Front Fabric 1 = 1-1/2 yards Front Fabric 2 = 1-1/2 yards Back = 2-3/4 yards *** I designed this one to use 10" squares so that you can also use layer cakes for both the front and the back. This would make for a nice coordinated scrappy look instead of the two fabric look in the quilt I'm making. Optional Binding = 5/8 yards (this is designed for 3" strips. I prefer slightly bigger binding for rag quilts due to all the extra bulk at the seams. What to cut: (18) 10" squares from Front Fabric 1 (18) 10" squares from Front Fabric 2 (36) 10" squares for the back -(36) 8.5" squares of batting Get your fabric from Missouri Start Quilt Company through my link (affiliate) for a discount. The typical discount is 20% off your purchase of $50 or more. Note that sometimes the discount doesn't apply if they already have a lot of promos going on, but you can still use my link to check out their current fabulous deals. You won't need any coupon codes, when available, the discount will automatically be applied to your cart. Here's that link: https://glnk.io/mzmmj/snugglebugstitc...
