This evening, I will be testing the basic function of the espresso machine from Gemilai, model CRM 3145. The most important function of the CRM 3145 is the automatic milk frothing function. The CRM 3145 has PID for both espresso extractions as well as temperature control for the milk steaming. It is programmed to stop frothing once the milk temperature reaches 60°C. However, while making this video, I realise that the milk frothing when done concurrently while extracting espresso shot does not stop by itself when it reaches the temperature of 60°C. I think when performing both tasks simultaneously, the program has to prioritise one of the function, in this case, as shown in my video, it prioritise espresso extraction. it shows the shot timer instead of the milk temperature. I will continue to explore the function of the CRM 3145 from Gemilai.
