Tekken 2 VER.A [Arcade] - play as Armor King

This is a playthrough using Armor King in the Arcade version of Tekken 2 version A. Read on below for more information... Armor King is the personal sub-boss for King in the game, and he is a hidden playable character through the use of a secret command/code, shown below. ===== HOW TO SELECT ARMOR KING ===== On the character select screen, do and press the following input commands: Highlight King, Left, hold Start, Left, Right, release Start, Right If you've done it correctly, Armor King will be selected. ===== ABOUT ARMOR KING ===== Due to his physical appearance, he sure looks like an "evil" version of King... it turns out that he is actually a rival of him. After he is slain by Craig Marduk during the events of Tekken 4 (story only), his younger brother (Armor King II) takes on his name and becomes his successor in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection and onwards. ===== GAMEPLAY ===== Armor King is a very good character in Tekken 2... as well as having multiple special throws and most of King's moves (he is a derivative of King after all), he has also been blessed with the Mishima Wind God Fist, which is one of the best moves in the game. He also has the Mishima Thunder God Fist (that's the dragon punch) too... which is surprisingly fitting for him. In the Arcade Version B of the game he has some unique moves of his own, such as a Shoulder Barge and an Arrow Punch. He doesn't have these in Version A of the game. ===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / TRIVIA ===== ---- His Stage 8 personal boss is King, and vice-versa. ---- He is also known as the Wicked Flower. ---- He was originally planned to be called Black King just before the development of Tekken 1. ---- In Tekken 2, his stage background, the Nowhere Desert, is similar to the Monument Valley stage in Tekken 1. It may even be the same location. ---- In the PS1 version of Tekken 2, when he is not operating as a sub-boss, his stage BGM is the Monument Valley theme ("Here is the Point of no Return") from Tekken 1. ===== ABOUT ARCADE TEKKEN 2 Ver.A ===== This is a vast improvement on the prequel as it is far more refined and fleshed out in all aspects. All the personal sub-bosses (besides male Kunimitsu) return and all them are playable through the use of hidden input commands on the character select screen. Every character in the game has their own stage background as well. Interestingly, it should also be mentioned that in the Arcade versions of Tekken 2, there is a setting in the options/operator screen that allows you to set either Baek or Jun as the regular character on the character select screen.
