A sermon delivered by C.H. Spurgeon, Lord's day morning April 6th 1890. This sermon text was suggested by a friend the day before it was preached. Sometimes Spurgeon was so busy during the week, that he hardly had time to think of his text in advance. this is what his frienfd wrote: "I think I was most surprised at his sermonising power in connection with a sermon he preached on Easter Sunday morning , 1890. I was at his house on the Saturday, and he asked if I had a subject for him . " Yes, sir ,' I said , “ but I am afraid it is a tough one, rather.' What is it ? ' ' Well, to -morrow is Easter Sunday, and this subject will be just the thing if it bites.' It is in Acts iii. 15 — ' The Prince of Life .' I made a few suggestions, not many ; the subject did bite, and he preached the nextmorning a sermon of unusual power and ability , as the reader may ascertain for himself, if he will obtain it."
