This is because fans make noise, have moving parts (moving parts fail), and the fan motors generate electrical noise (interference). The AM radio is already terrible in the Prius, so additional electrical noise just makes things worse. We also prefer bulbs that do not have external control modules because they take up space and have to be tied down. This is the bulb we used in the video. This is the Beamtech Series 1 headlight bulb that we showed in the video. This is brighter than the bulb we installed. This is a little brighter than the Beamtech Series 1 bulb and it's more convenient because it doesn't have a pigtail cable.
