Respighi） 編曲：平岡 聖（Arr. by HIRAOKA, Satoshi） 0:01 第一部「チルチェンセス」（CIRCENSES） 4:37 第二部「五十年祭」（GIUBILEO） 11:21 第三部「十月祭」（L'OTTOBRATA） 18:34 第四部「主顕祭」（LA BEFANA） ＜曲目解説＞（Music commentary） オットリーノ・レスピーギの代表作である「ローマ三部作」のひとつとして知られるこの作品は、『ローマの噴水』『ローマの松』に続いて1928年に完成された交響詩です。 単一楽章で、古代ローマ・ロマネスク・ルネサンス・20世紀と、それぞれの時代にローマで行われた祭をテーマとした4つの部分が切れ目なく演奏される構成。 残虐さから歓喜の歌や愉快な喧噪まで、オルガンやマンドリンを含んだ大編成の管弦楽編成により多彩に描かれています。 キリスト教の歴史を描くように年代別に配置された4つの部分のうち、迫力のある派手な音響が印象的な第一部「チルチェンセス」と第四部「主顕祭」ですが、第二部「五十年祭」の悲しみを伴った祈りと神聖さ、第三部「十月祭」の情熱的な歌を含んだ展開の中に、この作品の真髄があると感じています。 吹奏楽編曲にあたっては、オーケストラならではのニュアンスや繊細さを損なわないよう、サクソフォンセクションや鍵盤打楽器の扱いに配慮しました。 特に、第三部「十月祭」の各独奏楽器の置き換えを中心に、初演の指揮をされた峯村邦泰氏と協議し、吹奏楽の各セクションの色彩感をより引き出せるよう仕上げました。 2021年、ウインドアンサンブル峯（指揮：峯村邦泰）により委嘱・初演。 This symphonic poem, completed in 1928 is the third of Ottorino Respighi's masterpieces often referred to as "Roman Trilogy". With "The Fountains of Rome" and "The Pines of Rome” it paints a glorious portrait of the ancient seat of the Roman Empire. Composed as a single movement, the work consists of four unbroken sections on the theme of festivals that took place in Rome in different periods of time: ancient Rome, Romanesque, Renaissance, and 20th century. Various scenes, ranging from cruelty to joyous songs and merry bustle, are portrayed by a large orchestral ensemble, including organ and mandolin. The first section, "CIRCENSES" and the fourth section, "LA BEFANA" present impressive and powerful expressions, but the essence of this chronological depiction of Christian celebrations lies in the prayer and holiness with sorrow of the second section "IL GIUBILEO" (THE FIFTEEN YEAR FEAST) and the development of the third section "L'OTTOBRATA" (THE TEN MONTH FEAST) that are built upon passionate songs. This arrangement was commissioned and premiered by Wind Ensemble MINE, conducted by Kuniyasu Minemura in 2021. Care was taken in handling the saxophones and mallet percussion to maintain the nuance and delicacy of the original orchestral score.
