One thing that is interesting about Eddy Current testing, is that the display screen on an test instrument is called the Lissajous screen. People that have only lived in the eddy current world think that "Lissajous screens" are unique to eddy current testing; they are not. Lissajous screens are used oscilloscopes for many applications, it just happens to be the type of display we also use for eddy current testing. But when you look at Foucault's patterns, they look strikingly close to differential eddy current signals. All of this stuff is just nature's laws at work. Cheers!
