Seasoning my new Stabilotherm Pan | Cornflake Hot Wings. I love this style of pan and could never find one in my price range. I then discovered Outhaus.co, who are based in the UK and had the Stabilotherm Pans in stock. This Stabilotherm pan is made from Carbon Steel, weighing 550g and has a diameter of 21cm. The pan is called the Jägarstekpannor. The inspiration for the Jägarstekpannor goes way back and comes from the old Nordic dish called “kolbulle”. It was prepared in a frying pan by navvies, loggers, coal workers and other workmen who toiled long periods without access to fresh ingredients. The Stabilotherm frying pan all need curing and this video shows how I season my pans. I'm using the Horizon stove by Anevay to season this pan. It is being seasoned on the bottom by the resins produced from burning fatwood and inside using pork fat. If they are seasoned well and looked after they will last a lifetime.
