Evangeline: Hi, it's Evangeline from etrailer.com. And today we are looking at Yakima hitch ski and snowboard carrier adapter for hitch mounted bike racks here on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now, this is a great option for you if maybe you don't have a roof rack, if you already have a bike rack and you want to carry snowboards, skis on your bike rack safely and very easily. So the way this works is we have our boards and our skis mounted to our carrier. This has a capacity of six pairs of skis or four snowboards. I personally think it works best with four pairs of skis, but it really depends on the size of your skis and your snowboards.This has a locking, so you can lock this and you can use the same key lock system if you do have other Yakima accessories. You just put it in here, you open the lever and you can release the arm to release your items. Just like that. So with this out of the way, let's get that up and out there like this. You can put your items in and then push the arm back into place, push this lever in there and lock it into place. So is the same on both arms like that. You can see how it works with our bike rack here. We're using it on a Yakima long haul, but also works on all your bikes ideally that have four cradles or more.And the first and the fourth cradle needs to be from center to center 17 and a quarter inches apart. So that's the ideal distance for this carrier to fit on there. So for your Grand Cherokee, I really think this would be ideal if you have everyone in there, your whole family's in there, maybe your trunk is full of your luggage, your suitcases, your jackets, your boots, everything you need for that winter resort adventure. And you don't want your skis and your snowboards filling that spot as well. So you can put them out here. You can transform your bike rack into a snowboard and ski carrier very easily, very quickly.This carrier only weighs 29 pounds, so it was a breeze for me just to throw that on there. So with all that being said, I think it's a great carrier. It works well with our Grand Cherokee here, especially if you do not have a roof rack and you do not want or need a roof rack on your car.
