The B+ Foundation fights Childhood Cancer by funding critical, cutting-edge childhood cancer research and by providing financial assistance to families of children with cancer nationwide. All across the United States, college students, on-campus organizations, clubs, sports teams, residence halls, fraternities, and sororities are getting into the B+ spirit. These students organize, fundraise, advocate, and inspire as they raise funds and awareness for The B+ Foundation to help the 46 kids who are diagnosed with cancer each school day in the United States. We are the beneficiary of childhood cancer fundraisers and events nationwide – from New York University in NYC to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and everywhere in between! Andrew battled leukemia, septic shock, and complications of childhood cancer for 167 days before passing away on July 14, 2007, at the age of 14. Andrew’s B+ blood type became his family’s and friends’ motto throughout his fight against childhood cancer — to “Be Positive.” The B+ Foundation is about Kids Helping Kids Fight Cancer™ and is the largest provider of financial assistance to families of kids with cancer nationwide. Additionally, The B+ Foundation funds cutting-edge childhood cancer research and advocates on behalf of kids with cancer.
