In the early days of the Clone Wars, the galaxy explodes with conflict. Thousands of star systems join the separatist movement to form the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Armed with their massive droid armies, they wreak havoc across the Republic. The Jedi, fresh from the tragic maelstrom they faced on Geonosis, must nevertheless lift themselves up again and plunge headfirst into turmoil in defense of the Republic. Now aided by an army of lab-grown soldiers, the Jedi are learning to work together with the clones to seek a quick end to the war. When the Jedi learn of the Trade Federation's plans to set up a CIS base on a remote planet in the 7G sector, they see an opportunity to capture the cowardly Viceroy Nute Gunray and his toady lieutenant, Rune Haako.
