How to install your OSPW System for Shimano 9100/9150 with Integrated Stop Tower

A step by step installation guide for the CeramicSpeed OSPW Sytem for Shimano 9100/9150, product version including an integrated stop tower on the cage. 00:00 Introduction In this video we're going to go over the updated installation guidelines on a Shimano 9100 or our 8000 OS Pulley Wheel System. 00:13 Preparation Start by removing the rear wheel and take the chain off. You cannot be reusing the old chain because you will need a longer chain for the new system. To remove the initial pulley system, you’re going to shift up to clear either the servo motor or the cable retention point on your derailleur. Then carefully let the derailleur cage unwind by reducing the spring tension. With a t10 on the bottom of the derailleur body you can remove the retention pin. Make sure to hold on to the retention pen, the stock spring and dust cover. 01:35 Installation Line up, the factory spring and dust cover. The hook will go first into the derailleur, and should go all the way from high to low with four steps of spring tension. Set it second from lowest to give the best all around balance of shift quality and efficiency. Bring everything in line and make sure you have nice smooth movement. Check that you still have free movement and that the cage stops naturally. 03:10 Chain With this system set up a standard sized front chain ring, you need a 112 link chain. For a standard Shimano chain, you then need to remove one full set of links or two individual links. If you're using a compact chain ring or a smaller cassette in the back, we suggest starting with 110 links. If installing a Shimano chain, take careful note to see if it is a directional chain with the proper side out. On the UFO chain the bread tie signifies the outside facing of the chain. Finalize the installation Now you’re ready to install the rear wheel. Check the top and bottom stops and make any necessary barrel adjustments. It is important to note, that you need to look for around 5 millimeters of space between the upper pulley and the cassette, to keep a nice crisp shifting throughout.
