Hosea and Gomer - Ballet Magnificat

Ballet Magnificat! performs “Prodigal” in the Bielsko Cultural Center on April 23, 2016 in association with Stowarzyszenie Do Źródła. This piece was inspired by the book of Hosea. It tells of a man who shows mercy to his unfaithful wife, which is a mirrored story of how God shows mercy to His people. We are the unfaithful wife, turning away from God and choosing the world. We met God in our unfaithfulness. He won our heart - our sinful, human heart - and gave us completely undeserved freedom, love, purity, closeness, and fullness in Him. He gave us a home, adopted us as children, and demonstrated His unstoppable and unprecedented love through His son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” John 4:9-10 NIV
