AI Impact Series An Overview of the EU AI Act

Sept 24: We continued our BlockW / IOB AI Impact Series with over 460 participants for "𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐀𝐜𝐭 - 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞?" An overview of the EU AI Act. This session was delivered by Noelle Doody and Brian Connolly and gave attendees an introduction to the EU AI Act and the risk-based assessment approach. They discussed the different dimensions to consider and gave examples of how organisations are practically implementing Responsible AI frameworks. 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐖 & 𝐈𝐎𝐁 Since 2020 BlockW has developed a series of micro-learning modules for the 34,400 members of the IOB, a high proportion of whom are women (the IOB have a strong focus on developing women’s potential through initiatives such as this one).
