Junggar Yellow River Grand Canyon Music:Remember When by GIOVANNI Junggar Grand Canyon marks the first canyon of the Yellow River as it enters Shanxi. The river winds through the canyon, creating stunning natural scenery. This section of the Yellow River remains relatively untouched, preserving its raw, natural beauty. Here, one can truly experience the river’s most authentic and pristine charm. We set off from Xuejiawan Town in Junggar Banner, Inner Mongolia, to explore the Junggar Yellow River Grand Canyon. Located at the border between Inner Mongolia and Shanxi, the Yellow River winds through this area, forming two large "S" bends, creating a classic meandering snake-shaped landscape. The core scenic area is Baozitai, surrounded by water on three sides with a narrow land connection, historically a key strategic pass for entering and exiting the northern grasslands. Arriving at the core scenic spot in Dujiaomao Village, Weijiamiao Town, Junggar Banner (Baozitai), the beautiful Yellow River Culture Museum immediately catches the eye, showcasing the river's geography, history, and its profound influence on Chinese civilization. From the entrance to the island tip is about 4 kilometers, with blooming flowers lining the road, offering a delightful sight. In the distance, the Yellow River comes into view, and the grand Junggar Yellow River Grand Canyon lies ahead. Stopping at a viewing platform along the way, the vast rolling hills and ravines complement the majestic river, revealing the Yellow River's raw, untamed beauty. Overlooking Qiankun Bay, the canyon’s steep cliffs, sharply cut like a blade, display distinct reddish-brown layers, illuminated by sunlight. Together with the yellow river waters and accumulated silt, they create a breathtaking landscape. Historically, this has been a battleground, with countless fierce battles fought here. To fend off northern nomadic invasions, the Ming Dynasty constructed a defensive wall system along the Yellow River in Pianguan County. Some remnants of the Great Wall and beacon towers still stand today, which we'll introduce in more detail in later videos.
