Vintage Motorcycle Rescue 750 Presents: How to cut tapers in the bottom of your cylinders after they have been bored to 836cc. Going from what the called the 750 Honda motorcycle to a 836 cc Big Bore Kit is actually increasing each cylinder by one millimeter or a about 100 thousands of an inch. The stock CB750 bore is really 736cc and the big bore is only 100cc larger at 836cc. After the bore is cut, there is no taper left on the bottom of the cylinders making it difficult and damaging to install the pistons into these sharp bottomed cylinders. This is a Wiesco 836 ccBig Bore kit but it will work with any motorcycle big bore kit of any piston size. I made this video because the lack of taper in the bored out cylinders make motorcycle restoration, repair or rebuild makes installing your pistons a pain in the neck, but, making the taper at the bottom of your bikes cylinders makes piston installation a breeze.
