My Boss SD-1 with custom fat mode I've developed after a lot of circuit tweaking. Fattens up with single coils and gets fuzzy with humbuckers. Also very touch responsive in this mode! Best thing is that with the switch engaged to fat/fuzz, it gets a serious volume boost so you can drive the front end of a good tube amp into overdrive. Mods done include: added high quality Burr Brown op amp and ic socket to swap IC's easily C6 mod Germamium diode for clipping (switchable to include or remove from circuit) switch to engage fat v normal mode bright white LED By the way, the switch in the UP position (normal mode) give better gain frequencies compared to a stock SD-1, as well as removes the murkiness and flat tone inherit in the stock Boss Super Overdrive SD-1 Contact me if you would like to purchase one of these modded Super Overdrive SD-1 at: [email protected]
