Hey everyone. It's been a bit. First of all, this was not the video I was expecting I would be uploading next (as I have a few other projects already in the works), but I was suddenly struck with inspiration yesterday after seeing the recent vids from ‪@sevenan‬ and ‪@SunnydaleRehab2‬ and this vid here is the result of that inspiration. (I'll leave the links to their vids down below so you can see them if you haven't already.) I have always wanted to make something for Mithiana, a ship I fell in love with thanks to some gorgeous edits made by @lilsjames on tumblr, but simply never got around to it until now. I had thought I would make a gifset for them for Camelove 2022 this year, but never got around to it because I was too busy at the time with other things to do it, so here I am giving you guys a short vid instead using the same song Giulia used for her Yennefer/Freydís edit because I found it really beautiful. I can't believe it but this is the very first time I'm vidding a ship other than ArMor for Merlin, so I'm curious what you all think. 😅 There's a bit of a story to this too, so I'll leave the summary down below. One night she dreams of a woman in white arriving in Camelot. While Morgana is used to having such visions, the veiled woman in her dream strikes her as someone significant and she wakes from her dream wondering what it could mean. Meanwhile, her father arranges for her brother Arthur to wed the Princess of Nemeth in order to strengthen Camelot's alliance with the kingdom. She arrives sometime later in the dead of night and Morgana is surprised to see that the princess is the veiled woman from her dream. The princess, whom Morgana learns is named Mithian, ends up dining with the royal family that night and while Mithian is seated beside Arthur, making congenial small talk with him throughout the evening, Morgana can't help but be enraptured by the princess. She smiles at her during their meal and is surprised when the princess graces her with a soft smile in return. After dinner, Mithian retires to Morgana's chambers where she will be staying until she is wed, an arrangement Morgana's father Uther made for them until the wedding, whereby she will stay with Arthur, her betrothed. It is during the night that Mithian, unnerved by her upcoming marriage, although she is fond of Arthur, wakes from sleep and notices that Morgana in her slumber has caused a candle to light all on its own. At first she is scared, and doesn't know what to think of her soon-to-be sister-in-law, but decides to keep her secret, fearing what her father would do if he knew the truth about her magic. During the days leading up to the wedding, Morgana and Mithian start to grow closer thanks to the close corridors they must keep and Morgana, recognizing that she is starting to feel something for the princess, decides to confide in her about her magic, feeling she can trust her. She shows her how she can light candles with the power of her mind and Mithian is amazed by her abilities, her heart warming up to her as well. The two soon realize what is it that they are feeling for one another and that the feeling is mutual, but Mithian is afraid to act on her growing affection for Morgana, knowing that she is to wed her brother. Morgana on the other hand tries to convince her that they can still see each other in secret in the days leading up to the wedding, though a part of her feels guilty for betraying the brother she loves. But the two never come to consummate their love for one another, as Arthur, himself having an affair with Morgana's maidservant Gwen, decides to call off the marriage despite his father's wishes, thus causing Mithian to return to her homeland back in Nemeth. Both Morgana and Mithian are reluctant to part, but Mithian reassures Morgana that they will meet again, and on the day Mithian leaves Camelot, Morgana wakes to find a keepsake of Mithian's by her bedside, a small token, by which Mithian hopes Morgana will never forget her and the brief time they shared together in Camelot.
