To my surprise, the approach yielded a 3 year CAGR of 46.2% -- which is another way of saying that the Peter Lynch investing strategy tripled my money in 3 years Mathematically, for anyone to triple one's money in three years, it has to grow at 44.2% every year. The 32 stock portfolio that came out of employing Peter Lynch's stock selection criteria delivered a 3-year CAGR of 46.2% which doesn't even count dividends.
