Kyosho DBX VE 4WD Brushless: A Beast of a 1/10th Scale Buggy? Or Something Else?

Wanna have a closer look at the old Kyosho DBX VE Brushless Buggy? Is it a 1/10th scale or a 1/8th scale Buggy in your opinion? Or a 1/10th scale Truggy? And is it any good at all? I'm undecided, but come along and take a look at it while I sort out some things and adjust the suspension ... getting things ready for a proper run! Thank you for watching! Happy Hobby Days and Keep 'em Running! See you soon! ---------------------- I aquired this second hand Kyosho DBX VE for no other reason than I wanted to run a Kyosho again and preferably something completely different from all my Tamiya Buggies ... So i found this and it was perfect, for all the above reasons! Such a weird mix of 1/10 and 1/8 features, very different from what I am used to and by far the largest 1/10 buggy I have ever had. Sitting next to my 1/10 Stadium Trucks it still looks like a giant beast! I have yet to find out and decide if I like it at all or not. What do you think about it? Take a look at the first short run and the first breakdown here:    • Kyosho Cruiseday? Shortest Cruise Eve...   The Kyosho DBX VE RTR (Kyosho 30842) is a beast of a 1/10 RTR Buggy with large tires, low gearing and a stock Team Orion Vortex 10 BL 2800KV Brushless motor. What it lacks in top speed it makes up for in torque. But I'm not sure if '1/10 Buggy' really describes it the best. Compared to a classic 1/10 buggy, the length of the a-arms and the size of the wheels/tires is closer to what is commonly found on a large 1/10 truggy/stadium truck or a 1/8 buggy. I guess this is really what describes it the best: A 1/10th scale buggy chassis with a 1/8th scale double wishbone suspension and 1/8th scale wheels/tires. I believe Kyosho calls it a 1/10th with the best from a 1/8th. I don't know about that, but it sure is different from all my other 1/10 buggies and that's what I really like about it. It also has a lot of nice stock features: aluminium chassis, oil filled big bore shocks, full ball bearings, steel pinion etc. A little heavy, but should make out a nice basher, especially for the dedicated Tamiya/Kyosho enthusiasts. Looking forward sharing some more of this buggy - hopefully also in longer and more eventful off road runs ... if the weather and time permits it!
