Mangalore Style Chicken Urval | Mangalorean Chicken urval | Chicken recipes | @HomeCookingShow #mangalorechickenurval #chickenurvalrecipe #chickenrecipes #homecookingshow #drychickenrecipe #mangaloreanecipes #urvalrecipe #chickenurvalmangalorerecipe Prep Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins Servings: 5 Ingredients To Make Marinade Chicken - 1 1/2 Kg Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp Salt - 1 Tsp Garam Masala - 2 Tsp Juice Of 1 Lemon Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tbsp To Make Paste Byadagi Chilli - 25 Nos Soaked Cashew Nuts  - 15 Nos Water To Make Chicken Urval Butter - 100 Gms Ground Chilli Paste Marinated Chicken Ground Cashew Paste Salt Garnish Ghee Cashew Nuts - 1/4 Cup Byadagi Chilli - 4 Nos Curry Leaves Method To make the Marinade: 1. Clean the chicken and add turmeric powder, salt, garam masala powder, juice of 1 lemon, ginger garlic paste and rub the marinade the coat all the chicken pieces evenly. 2. Let the sit aside for 30 mins. To make the Chili Paste & Cashew Paste: 1. Take water in a saucepan. Heat it and add the Byadagi chilies. 2. Blanch them for 15 mins and then let them cool down. 3. Transfer them to a mixer jar with the soaked water and grind it all into a fine paste and keep it aside. 4. Now add in the soaked cashewnuts along with its water to a mixer jar and grind it into a fine paste. Keep it aside. To make the Chicken Urval: 1. Take butter in a wide pan and add the ground chili paste to it. Saute for 5 mins. 2. Now add the marinated chicken and mix. After 5 mins, add the ground cashew paste, salt and mix. 3. Cover the pan with a lid and cook the chicken for 10 mins. 4. After 10 mins, remove the lid and cook the chicken until it is nice and dry. For the Garnish and Serving: 1. For the garnish take ghee in a pan and add cashewnuts. Roast them until they are golden brown in colour. 2. Add Byadagi chilies, curry leaves and saute for a few seconds. 3. Transfer this tempering to the Chicken Urval and mix well. 4. Serve this amazing Chicken Urval hot and garnished with roasted cashewnuts and curry leaves.
