Today I unbox and install the OnlyFire Outdoor Santa Maria style attachment for the Weber Kettle 22". Here is the link on Amazon where I purchased mine. https://amzn.to/33KhzfM You have a few choices out there when looking for a Santa Maria attachment for your Weber Kettle or Weber Smoky Mountain 22". The reason I went with the OnlyFire is three fold. Price, availability and it comes with a rotisserie. I've always had a fascination with the Santa Maria cooking style and want to get a full size one at some point. For me this is a way to scratch that itch if you will until I pull the trigger on a full size unit. There are what I would loosely call instructions in the box. It's more of a parts list and some pictures of the components. Let's see If I'm smart enough to figure it out. There is not a list of tools needed anywhere in this "Product Assembly Drawing". What I found to be helpful was a 5mm Allen wrench, a screw driver and an adjustable wrench. Now onto the assembly. I time lapsed the footage of this not knowing how fast it would go. I can say it took no longer than a half hour and I had to look for an M-8 nut that had fallen off into my packaging. Looking back at it I could have assembled it on a table, but I chose to install it directly on the unit. Here are the steps I took. 1. Installed the base to the kettle. 2. Set the grate bracket onto the base. 3. Set the cooking grate onto the grate bracket. 4. Set the main frame on the grate bracket and base. Secure with 4 M4 screws. 5. Adjust the wires evenly and secure with the M8 nuts. 6. Install the handle with the M6 screw. It will have some play that threw me off for a bit. This is so you can lock it into the main frame. 7. Install the rotisserie brackets. This really threw me for a loop. I thought at first that they had to mount on the same side. WRONG! They mount opposite so that the rotisserie is centered on the grill. Made me feel real stupid once I figured it out. 8. Install the rotisserie and install 2 D batteries. That's it. Just that simple. Next up we will get a cook on this bad boy and see how she cooks. In the video I mention Richard from RNEW BBQ. He got a Titan Outdoor unit.
