Time Stamps ⬇️ Welcome my woolly wanderers, Firstly I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone of you who has watched (currently 360 at time of recording which is nearly 300 more than last week) and for liking and subscribing to my Channel. I so appreciate your company with me at home. It has certainly had a massive effect on my making this weeks video knowing that people are interested in what I am doing. Talking of which this weeks video was meant to be a single video all about spinning but I thought I would make it into 2 parts as I know shorter videos (under an hour) can help people concentrate more. or is it just me??? So I’ve split the video up into two parts. I will be uploading the second part on Wednesday pm. And TBH there is a lot to practise if you are new to spinning before we use some wool. So what am I covering this week? Well you might have guessed by the title. We are looking at spinning wheels and how to use them. This video is packed with loads of useful tips and info that you can use as a beginner spinner or there may even be a nugget of info for the more advanced spinner. Within this video we firstly learn about the names (some of them rather funny) of the spinning wheel and what each of the parts do. Next we move onto treadling - a step that must not be missed or glossed over as when you are able to treadle comfortably you are able to then relax more. We then move onto practising with some practise yarn as this really helps understanding tension. Lastly we cover wools that can be used for your first spin. Remember this is only my point of view but it may help you decide about using that beautiful piece of merino and choosing something more suitable to start off with.
