Sonic Rush Adventure - All Emeralds Speedrun

This speedrun involves retrieving all 7 Chaos Emeralds and all 7 Sol Emeralds and facing the true final boss Deep Core. Timing starts when you press the 'Press Start' button on the title screen and ends with landing the final hit on Deep Core. As for the Any% part of this speedrun, the timing starts when you press Start on the title screen and ends with landing the final hit on Big Swell at about 57:10 on this video. This run was deathless though I had two near misses, see if you can find them; I also got the Johnny races on first attempt and the Sol Emerald missions restartless; For the harder races for the Chaos Emerald 5, 6 and 7 at timestamps 1:02:50, 1:13:53 and 1:16:18 respectively, shows the methods I used to get consistent faster methods and wins. Also for any of the Johnny Races, Johnny cannot beat you if you get below a certain time (ie. for race 5, a low 53 and under is a guaranteed win, sub-1’03 for race 6 of which I got a sub-1'00 on a previous attempt and coincidentally, both of these races you cannot wait to get the full boost or Johnny would be too far gone and with the upgrade, even low boost lasts longer, as for race 7, it suffices to get around a sub-1’04 for a clear win and waiting for the full boost is faster but at the point where I did my final boost, I would normally have full boost there and skip the ramp). Sol Emerald Missions: For Hidden Islands 6 and 12, were very well done, but lost 3 seconds on Hidden Island 8; For the bosses however, the Ghost Pendulum can achieve a sub-1'20 but not easy to execute due to the randomness of the Pendulums, Ghost Kraken was pretty much the best I could do without the quick kill, Whisker and Johnny went extremely well and the Big Swell Boss can be reduced by 20 seconds. Improvements and Time Losses: The Ghost Condor alone cost me over 20 seconds of time and Ghost Pendulum can go at least sub-1. The Big Swell Boss Fight in the main game can be made for a sub-2 with optimisation; With some further testing after this completed run and doing some comparisons, it would be faster to switch characters immediately after Sky Babylon Act 2 as switching characters takes almost 12 seconds and my current Blaze time in Single Segment is 13 seconds faster than my Sonic Version and is more reliable to do even at the time I got my fastest splits (34"54 and 47"89 respectively). I have also found that the Chaos Emerald 2 race and Hidden Island 8 can be done on the same Deep Typhoon trip preventing having to do an extra trip. This goes to show that getting a sub 1:30:00 is much easier than getting sub 56:00 in Any% due to this involving much tighter optimisation in the acts and boss stages. Sub 55:00 is possible but will require risky IL strats and superfast menuing, but will hold off on it until I have at least a great sub 56:00. Time Splits for the Acts and Bosses: Plant Kingdom - Act 1: 39"18/38"65, Act 2: 42"42, Boss: 48"77; Machine Labyrinth - Act 1: 1'02"55/1'02"81, Act 2: 1'07"54, Boss: 1'02"65; Coral Cave - Act 1: 1'10"00, Act 2: 1'39"01, Boss: 42"82; Haunted Ship - Act 1: 1'01"01, Act 2: 43"57, Boss: 27"94; Blizzard Peaks - Act 1: 52"91, Act 2: 55"27, Boss: 1'26"30; Sky Babylon - Act 1: 1'22"94, Act 2: 1'43"87, Boss: 1'17"49; Pirates Island - Act 1: 1'26"01, Act 2: 1'49"59, Boss: 1'16"38; Big Swell Boss - 2'17"21; Deep Core - 1'06"37; Hidden Island Time Splits: 1: 10"54 + 1 second (real time) for boosting through chest; 2: 8"25, Preferably would like to get 7"60 better; 3: 22"77, Can get a low 20 for this segment; 4: 32"99, Possible to get a consistent low 26 second run or better; 5: 13"15, A mid 12 second run can be achieved; 6: 24"33, Generally Well Done; 8: 1'01"27 + 1 second (real time) for boosting through chest; 12: 22"79, Lost 3 seconds by not choosing Sonic due to choking and losing a lot of boost by getting hit; 16: 38"15, Generally Well Done; Overall this was a really great run achieved and got 2 records in one.
