A growth mindset is a social psychological phenomenon that frames challenges and setbacks in the light of growth and improvement rather than incapability. In Nate's talk, he shares the story of how he utilized a growth mindset in his own life, and areas in which a growth mindset can and has been applied. Nate Johnson is a Furman University Class of 2023 Economics major with a concentration in Philosophy. Nate has always been interested in the topic of human behavior and in a true liberal arts fashion, has also taken an interest in psychology, specifically social psychology. Throughout his Furman career, Nate has given presentations on growth mindsets, utilizing concepts he has learned throughout his coursework. After school, Nate is looking to synthesize his interests and enter the world of mental health technology.
