Erasmus+ project, Youth Exchange: “Nature at Challenge!”

The project entitled ''Nature at Challenge! Air, water and land with obstacles!” was being held in Kalabaka, Meteora and Trikala, Thessaly, Greece, 02-07/03/2024. It was an environmental awareness project focusing on the knowledge, skills and competencies needed for the fight against ecological crisis, empowerment of social and civic participation to grapple with dangers from the destruction of biodiversity, reduction of sustainability and deterioration of healthy ecosystems. Additionally, it highlighted technologies that help the environment and how preserve our planet’s wellbeing through real-life examples of technology’s beneficial impact on harmful activities as well as how people can face the climate change and environmental concerns adopting sustainable alternatives in daily life. The youngsters participated jointly in peer learning mixed groups and experiential environment-oriented interactive activities based on participatory methods, interdependence, smooth communication and collaboration. They shared ideas in workshops and their own analyses, highlighted their own knowledge and skills, engaged in challenging field exercises and role-plays, interesting screenings and amazing educational visits and artistic improvisations. They discussed and exchanged views, experiences, critical thoughts and emotions as well as worries caused by the ecological crisis. They developed new skills and competences, improved stances and behaviors essential for a life with health, quality and professional progress in the Europe that they like: a modern Europe, digitally fit, environmentally mature, more participatory, with an inclusive approach to the diverse range of people, a Europe inclusive, accessible and democratic with interest on youth needs, interests and expectations.
