2002 Lehmann Eclipse

This unique Gypsy/archtop hybrid model was built by the well known Rochester, NY based luthier Bernie Lehmann. Bernie used his expertise in archtop guitar making to create an instrument which combines the acoustic projection and look of a Gypsy guitar with the easy playability and balanced tone of an archtop. The result is a guitar which has the fast, easy playing feel of an archtop with that classic Selmer tone that Django was famous for. This instrument features all top grade woods including an X-braced Adirondack spruce top, solid cocobolo rosewood back and sides, highly figured maple neck and binding, and an ebony fingerboard. It has a set of Schaller tuners and a stylish wood/steel Lehmann tailpiece. The bridge includes a removable bone saddle which makes action adjustments less cumbersome. An upper bout soundport allows for better monitoring by the player. This instrument is in excellent condition, with just a few small dings and scratches and hardly any fretwear. It plays like a dream with very low 2.6mm action. The sound of this instrument is modern and balanced yet still undeniably Gypsy in character. Lush and forgiving, it allows for fat sounding chordal work and honey sweet single note lines. These qualities also make this guitar highly versatile, allowing it to easily double in other styles from folk to modern jazz. This instrument is perfect for someone looking for an easy playing and versatile acoustic guitar that can sound like Django one moment and Tommy Emmanuel the next. And it this price, you rarely find such exquisite quality workmanship and materials! For more info or to buy see: http://www.djangobooks.com/Item/lehma...
