Charted at #62 on Billboard Hot 100 in May 1957. The last Billboard chart entry for this singer who was quite popular from the 1940's to the mid-1950's. Original Billboard review: "Marty Robbins' version of his own tune is now on the country charts. Even though Desmond is late, his powerful reading of the teen-slanted lyrics can land this side strongly in the pop field." Billboard rating: 83 out of 100. Written by Marty Robbins. My note: the Billboard reviewer means that Desmond was late coming out with his competing version. The song charted at #2 on the Hot 100 for Marty Robbins (#1 Country). In the UK, Terry Dene took it to #18 in June 1957 and the King Brothers went all the way to #6.
