BLOODSTOCK 2024 - TRAVEL, ENTRY & FIRST IMPRESSIONS - EPISODE 1

Well it's finally here guys!!!! 😁 Bloodstock 2024!!! BUT The Edit on the first 2 Videos was a nightmare!!! I had provisionally made 2 "Rough Cut" style Videos for Patreon and the program I use to make them Capcut downloaded an update removing features I had used in the transition effects! & not only that, it has taken out 90% of the features I use in every single video to add to the Premium/PRO version! - Midway through an upload. This killed the first video, and made the second one nearly impossible to watch because it had a loud audio click during every single transition!/camera change & there's around 350 on this episode alone. So basically I've remade both episodes in another program and I'm hoping for the best with the third now. Now that's out the way! 😂 Bloodstock Festival Bloodstock 2024 was full of unforgettable social moments that myself & the Crew will remember forever. I live and breathe our Metal scene, & Bloodstock is always our yearly highlight, so here's our episodes "Ups & Downs". Our Campmates: The camp this year was a massive mixed bag of characters that made the experience even more memorable. Without namedropping everyone here it was a fantastic turnout for our group and because of the extra day a fairly simple carpark meet up & festival entry. We kicked off the festival on a bittersweet note, saying goodbye to our dear friend Vyte, who passed away at last year’s Bloodstock. Amon Amarth’s Sunday set was a particularly emotional moment for us all, as it was a band Vyte would’ve loved. Staff and Security The staff and security this year were top-notch. They really got our sense of humour and usually partied alongside us while keeping us in check. It was a refreshing change from previous years and incomparable to my experiences at Download. This made the Midgard campsite atmosphere excellent. Vendors & PDQ Machines FINALLY!!!, all the vendors I visited showed prices every single time at the bars and stalls! This is something I’ve waited for and it's been a long time coming. No more “accidental” overcharges! - which I have caught a few times previously. The Optional Extra Day The extra day was perfect for catching up with mates and settling in before the real madness began. It also eased the stress on the entrance staff and reduced queues both inside and around the local area traffic wise. Keeping this optional is a great call. Merch Queues On arena day 1, the click and collect queue was brutal! And a lot of other merch was instantly sold out. Card Machines & signal going down This seemed to be an issue all weekend randomly, on the first day we were allowed in it wiped our night at Lemmys as I don't carry cash anymore. Toilets Compared to European festivals like Graspop and Pitfest with their flushing porcelain toilets, Bloodstock’s loos were less than desirable. But I get it, those would be costly to hire in the UK and British crowds are definitely going to destroy them... Just don't look down! Along with The obvious, I saw a bank card, phone, piece of hand bag, wallet and hat throughout various visits... poor guys! Campsite Vegan Options & Food Contamination More vegan options on the campsite itself would be great. I also noticed some cross-contamination issues that could easily be fixed with training for the staff, using the same gear for both Meat & Veg. Bin Jousting This has unfortunately lost its edge hasn't it? Keeping Top Hat Bill & the team involved was fantastic nod to Midgard tradition, but somethings definitely missing. With a little more work, it will return to its former glory and isn't a lost cause by any means. Just attempting this to please us Midgard lot is something that no other festival would attempt so its still a win in a way. YouTube Collaborations One of the standout moments was meeting other YouTube personalities in the scene, like "Mead and Metal", "The Alt Couple", "Dippy Doughnutters" & "Pete Devlin" & a few more. It was awesome to connect with fellow creators and share a few drinks, laughs, and stories. - PLEASE TAG THEM IN THE COMMENTS IT WONT WORK ON MY PHONE! :( https://Billymayhem.com   / billymayhem   http://paypal.me/Billymayhem https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/rubygoth https://www.printful.com/uk/give-5-ge...
