According to Saussure, the distinction between “langue” and “parole”, is the basic starting point of modern linguistics. He believes that both ‘langue’ and ‘parole’ are the key concepts which often shape behavior of human speech and thought. Fundamentally, ‘langue’ and ‘parole’ are French words.
