Rochester High School made it to the playoffs this year! In fact all 3 RCS High Schools qualified! Rochester traveled back to Stoney Creek for a second time this year for a re-match against the Cougars in the first game of the playoffs. The Falcon Marching Band also returned to help cheer on the team, and surprisingly the Cougar Marching Band was not there (they had a performance elsewhere that night) It was nice to see the FMB performing in the stands this time, unlike 2 weeks ago the band was sitting in chairs on the football field. Anyway Rochester went on to play Stoney Creek, the Cougars started off pretty well leading the game. But come the second half, the Falcons started making a comeback. Oh and should I mention how bad the refs were in this game, should have been a couple false start and pass interference flags which would have benefitted the Falcons. Not to mention the one ref yelled at the band and Mr. Uhrig at the start of the 4th quarter. Either way, with 46 seconds left in the 4th quarter, Rochester closed in on a touchdown and as time expired, Rochester was able to pull off a touchdown tying the game. Then the Falcons kicked for an extra point to win the game 21-20! Rochester did not have the lead at all throughout the game until the very end, but the end of the game is what really matters and Rochester played an outstanding game, especially in the second half! This is probably the best Falcon Football Game I've ever witnessed and I'm so proud of our team on an amazing win last night! Congrats Falcons!
